For A Spanish Experience, that place is Palacio de los Leones — a private, exclusive-use 17th-century Andalusian palacio and boutique hotel, reserved entirely for our guests and serving as the heart of our small group retreat in southern Spain.

Located in Lora del Río, near Seville, this historic palace offers luxury accommodation in Andalusia within a peaceful town setting, providing a refined and restorative base from which to explore the region.

This authentic 10-bedroom palace has been lovingly restored to honour its original character while offering the comfort and ease expected of a private boutique hotel in Spain. Original architectural details are balanced with serene interiors, creating a space that feels elegant, calm, and grounding.

Each private en-suite bedroom is thoughtfully appointed with quality linens, intuitive modern amenities, and considered details designed to make relaxation effortless. Throughout the palace, the atmosphere is one of understated luxury — refined rather than showy, and deeply comfortable.

For guests seeking something especially distinctive, two upgraded rooms are available.

The Suite Superior, designed by the owner, features a private patio ideal for quiet moments of retreat, while the Tower Room is accessed by private lift and crowned with expansive 360-degree views over Lora del Río and the surrounding Andalusian countryside.

For the duration of the retreat, Palacio de los Leones is reserved exclusively for our group, offering complete privacy and a sense of calm rarely found in hotel accommodation. Sun-washed patios, gently secluded spaces, and beautifully layered interiors invite unhurried moments of rest, reflection, and connection.

Meals are shared in one of the palace’s elegant dining spaces, creating relaxed opportunities to gather and enjoy one another’s company. 

As evenings draw to a close, guests are welcome to  linger in the candle-lit patios to enjoy a nightcap beneath the Andalusian sky.
